We’re York Bikes, based in Pocklington, and we’ve been in the cycle trade for over 25 years. For the past decade we’ve focused on giving pre-owned bikes a proper second life – whether that’s kids’ first rides, everyday commuters, mountain bikes or road machines.

Every bike we sell gets a full once-over before it leaves our workshop, so you can be confident it’s road-ready. With prices starting from around £60, our goal has always been to keep cycling affordable and accessible. From our base on the industrial estate in Pocklington, we hold a wide selection of bikes and spares, and we’re here to help riders of all ages get back on two wheels without breaking the bank.

Right now, we’ve got a bit of everything coming through the workshop:

• Kids’ bikes like Frog, Raleigh, and Apollo — balance bikes up to 24” wheel juniors.
• City and commuter bikes such as Carrera hybrids and vintage Raleigh shoppers, built for everyday riding.
• Road bikes from brands like Giant and Specialized — great for club rides or weekend miles.
• Mountain and hybrid bikes including Trek, Scott and Boardman models — solid choices for trails or canal paths.
• And the odd retro gem that pops up, which we clean up and send back out to be enjoyed again.
• Our stock changes all the time as bikes come in and out, but the idea stays the same: affordable, serviced, and ready to roll.

All the time! Because we focus on pre-owned bikes, our line-up is always on the move. Some weeks we’ll have a batch of kids’ bikes come in, the next it might be road or mountain bikes. Nothing hangs around for long, so our stock changes week by week — sometimes even day by day. If you spot something you like, it’s best to grab it before it’s gone.
