Welcome to The Chichester Bike Project – your community hub for cycle repair, second-hand bikes, education, and workshops. We refurbish donated bikes to gift to people who need reliable transport or sell at affordable prices to support our work. Our fully equipped workshop is open to everyone, offering expert servicing and repairs carried out by qualified mechanics.
But we’re more than just a workshop.
We provide meaningful work experience and volunteering opportunities for young people, helping them develop practical skills, confidence, and pathways into employment. Our project also creates local jobs, supporting people into paid work while strengthening the local circular economy.
Out in the community, we deliver bike safety checks at events, run talks in schools and clubs, and work closely with local councils, police, and neighbourhood wardens to promote safer cycling. We proudly support organisations including the NHS with free workshops that build skills, improve wellbeing, and offer vocational opportunities for people facing mental or physical challenges.
Supporting the Wider Cycling Community
We also work with organisations, businesses, and local authorities to provide cycling consultation and support. From fleet maintenance and staff training to advice on cycling infrastructure and community cycling initiatives, we help partners create safer, more accessible cycling environments.
Proudly brought to life by the Chichester Community Development Trust, a community-owned and community-led organisation.
